Since it was founded in 1897, the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona has been adapting its infrastructures and services to the demand of the times. It is a family club, that at the beginning was purely equestrian, this club is in the continuous process of offering its services, both in sports and socially, so that its members, of all ages, can perform the desired activities in the best conditions.

Currently more than 10,000 members form the large family of this Barcelona club, that has five sports sections Equine, Hockey, Paddle Tennis, Polo, and Tennis. Territorial social, national, and international competitions guarantee the maximum activities of its sportsman members and shows, year after year, the large capacity and organisational quality of the club. 48 Olympic sportsmen have been trained in their schools, currently made up of more than 900 boys and girls of different ages.

In 1992 the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona was the headquarters of the Olympic Games horse trials of Barcelona, which was the reason that its Olympic installations went under a considerable remodelling, which today makes it one of the sports clubs of highest international level for its variety, quantity and quality.
